Godwin's law

So I learnt from JJ that Godwin's Law states that 'as an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one"

If you are fortunate enough to be friends with Damian then you'd know that a conversation involving a comparison with Nazis or Hitler is a dead cert. Damo's Law.

MySpace

It's all happening! Not only do I have a blog (welcome) but I have a last.fm profile (ahem - and I have friends) and I have also been playing with my MySpace page and Steven Patrick Morrissey is now one of my MySpace friends.

Now, I know it's not really him, it's just some PR lacky. But still, it's Morrissey, and he's friends with me!!
I'm quite excited about this. In fact, the last time recently I got this excited was when I saw Colin Firth in our canteen at work. Except after I'd told everyone it was Colin Firth and I'd swooned a bit, I realised that
a) it wasn't Colin Firth and that
b) even if it had been I don't even fancy Colin Firth in the slightest

Man in our canteen should clearly sign up with a lookalike agency - there definitely appears to be a gap in the market for a Colin Firth

Dogs maul alligator

okay, so i've had this blog set up for a while and never used it. so this is the inaugural posting, the testing of how to use it, the start of yet another stream of consciousness on the web buried deeply amongst the millions already out there....

so with all that pressure in mind i'm not going to try and say something profound.

i'm just going to play with changing templates and fonts and layout and adding images until i feel that i'm a bit more comfortable with my new-found blog presence.

so for now, i'm just going to leave you with this shocking 'dogs maul alligators' photo. apologies if you find it disturbingly graphic.
